Ruth Ann Bagley
October 1, 1944 - April 13, 2021

Ruth Ann (Shields) Bagley, loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully with her children at her side at 12:15am on 4/13/2021. She was 76. Ruthie was born on 10/1/44 to William and Evelyn Shields who precede her in death. Also preceding in death are sons; David Alan and Bryan Bagley and daughter, Denise Bagley. She is survived by sons Eric (Jole) Bagley and Matt (Lisa) Bagley and daughter-in-law, Robin Bagley, her grandchildren; Jordan, J.D., Nick, Tyler, Erin, Logan, Marissa and Brady Bagley and four great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Also survived by brothers Tom (Debbie) Shields, Russ (Linda) Shields, Randy (Teri) Shields and Brad (Becky) Shields. Ruthie raised her children then became a hairdresser. She loved her job and worked at Bon Cher Hair Salon until the time of her passing. She never met a stranger and everyone who met Ruthie, instantly was a friend. Ruthie was a fighter and a survived a double brain aneurysm in 1993. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and traveling to Florida to see her favorite cousin Richard (Judy) Shields and friends. Momma Bags loved attending all of her childrens and grandchildrens sporting events and was everyones biggest cheerleader and supporter. Ruthie had an infectious smile, was the glue that held her family together and was loved by all. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, April 20th , between 5-7:00 pm at Moreland Funeral Home, 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville. A prayer service led by Ruthies nephew, Marc Shields, will immediately follow. A private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Cancer Society to honor Ruthies children, Bryan and Denise, or to the charity of your choice.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I've only know Ruthie for about 5 years now. I work at Bon Cher. She was always happy and loved to talk to everyone. My clients loved her also! I will miss her deeply. It saddens me that I will be unable to attend her service as for I will be out of town. Prayers for the family.

I am so sorry for your loss. It was an honor to have known Ruthie. She was such a wonderful and kind person. God has a special place in heaven for her. Ruthie will be greatly missed by all who have had the enormous pleasure of knowing her. Adele

We are so truly very sorry for your loss. Our prayers to you and all your family. God has received a new hairdresser with wings of many colors. After all you know us ladies we do wear our hair in many colors. Sometimes we even Match our grandkids school colors just for the occasion. Our love to each of you. Sincerely the Price Family

I'm so sorry for your loss of Ruthie. I have only known Ruthie for a little over a year as I started working at Bon Cher Hair Salon at that time. Ruthie always had a smile on no matter what might have been going on in her world. Ruthie can rest easy now...she will be missed greatly. Prayers to her family.
