Diane Kay Crooks went to be with the Lord on September 12, 2018, at the age of 68, after a five plus year struggle with ovarian cancer. She was the firstborn to the family of Pat and June Million on Wednesday, August 9, 1950. Diane grew up on the family farm near Monticello, IN. Diane graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the Indiana University School of Nursing in May of 1972. Shortly after her graduation, Diane married Art Crooks. She practiced as a Registered Nurse over the next forty years in Indiana and Ohio. Some of those years were at OSU Hospital, and twenty-two years were at Riverside Hospital. Diane's pride and joy were her two daughters, Jennifer and Jessica, and their families. She loved her girls, loved spending time with family, and loved to travel. Diane spent many hours scrapbooking pictures of her family. She was an inspiration to others. Diane liked to volunteer. In earlier years, she was active in church VBS, a Sunday School leader, and a youth group leader. She volunteered as a Girl Scout leader, and when she could, volunteered for LifeLine Christian Mission (which included a mission trip to Haiti). Diane enjoyed being an usher for the local theater group (CAPA). Her friends in the Cancer Survivors Victory Choir gave her joy, and she enjoyed her card group. She was an active member in her Bible study groups, and was an active leader in the Gideons Auxiliary. Diane loved giving people a copy of God's Word. That is how she perfected her smile. She is preceeded in death by her father, Pat Million. She is survived by her mother, June Million-Haase; her sister, Susan (Vern) Smith of St George, UT; her husband of forty-six years, Art Crooks; and daughters, Jen (Aaron) Monastra of Columbia, SC and Jessie (Jim) Barbarich of Willoughby, OH; and her three granddaughters, Bailey, Julianna and Norah. Visitation will be available at the Westerville Christian Church, 471 E College Ave, Westerville, OH, on Friday, September 21st, from 4 to 7 PM and on Saturday, September 22nd, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, followed by a celebration of life service at the church. Burial will be in Belendon Township Cemetery, Westerville, OH. Donations may be made to the Gideons International.
"Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers." Galatians 6:10.

I thought so much of Diane. She always had a smile on her face. When I think of Diane that is what comes to mind. She is now in a better place. Love, Maxine
